Drivetrain and CV Joint Service
What are CV joints?
The CV joints allow your wheels to rotate and bend in all directions as it is a ball joint. These joints are lubricated with high tempature grease that is protected by a CV boot. Due to factors such as aging, abuse, the weather, the CV boot can crack or tear allowing the oil to deplete and contaminants to enter.

What happens when a CV Joint fails?
When it fails, you usually have less than 500 miles before the joint seperates and breaks loose. Some people get by without an accident with a failed joint for years, but it is not recommended for the safety of you or your passengers.

How do you check your CV Joints and Boots?
The easiest way is to come in for a complimentary inspection, where we will check these important drivetrain components as well as a host of others. Call (888) 553-7071 or click here and schedule an appointment! If you want to do it yourself, roll your windows down and drive slowly, turning side to side. If you hear a loud clicking during the turns, there is likely a damaged CV joint that needs to be replaced. Do not confuse this with the relief valve sound from the power steering pump. Also, check the CV boot for any visual tears or splits.
